About

Marlo Noël Bontempo was a crafty child. She began designing jewelry at the age of nine. At first, the pieces were mostly composed of safety pins, tie wire, and oil-slick-colored marbles. At the holidays she made small ornaments into earrings and sold them to the checkers at her mom’s work (It was the 90’s- they were totally into it).

In high school, teachers and students alike purchased various trinkets from a Curious George tin her friends toted to class for her.

Through a plethora of jobs (bakery, clothing store, escrow office, salon) Marlo toiled away, but dreamed of where she would end up. She began college undecided, but graduated with a degree in Apparel Merchandising and Management.

In November of 2007, Marlo found herself married- much to her surprise- and was swept away from Los Angeles to the whimsical shores of San Diego.

Marlo is currently pursuing her love of jewelling, drawing inspiration from her seaside home in Cardiff by the Sea, California. She designs numerous pieces for each season’s collection, only the finest of which are showcased in her Etsy shop and sometimes right here on the blog.

If you’d like something made longer or shorter, in lemon yellow or pomegranate red, contact Marlo- she’d love to make something just for you!
